The MOVEMENT Movement
My Social Impact Initiative, The MOVEMENT Movement is an initiative based on bettering mental, physical, and emotional health for students, teachers, and individuals with special needs. Only 17.9% of students in Utah are reaching the required 60 minutes of physical activity. In order to raise these statistics, I visit elementary, junior high, and high schools with the Utah County Health Department to teach “Brain Breaks,” equip teachers with resources to better help their students, and am the head coach to the first Utah County Special Olympics DanceSport class.
